First day at my new postdoc position and heading for a writing workshop in Ö-vik. I find writing workshops to be a very productive way of producing high quality publications since you combine ideas from multiple minds.
Looking out the window of the train I see a landscape with a very low population but still highly impacted by forestry. I wonder how it would have looked like if we didn't cut down the trees every 80-100 years?
